Very similar in style and packaging to their successful Billboard Rock'n'Roll series, this volume brings together ten classics from the year 1958. Big ticket items are Jackie Wilson's "Lonely Teardrops," Bobby Day's "Rockin' Robin," the Johnny Otis Show's "Willie and the Hand Jive," the Monotones' "Book of Love," and Fats Domino's "Whole Lotta Loving." Also aboard are big hits from the Chantels, Bobby Freeman (the original "Do You Want to Dance"), Little Anthony and the Imperials, and instrumental charters from Cozy Cole and Ernie Freeman. Almost anything in this series is worth picking up, and the transfers are delightfully clear.
