AllMusic Review by

The inaugural volume of Rhino's film tunes series predictably features many songs from the era's big, splashy musicals. Best and biggest of them are included: Harry James and His Orchestra's "I've Heard That Song Before," Bing Crosby's "Swinging on a Star," Les Brown and His Orchestra's "My Dreams Are Getting Better All the Time," Dick Haymes and the Song Spinners' "You'll Never Know," Kay Kyser and His Orchestra's "Jingle Jangle Jingle," and Betty Hutton's "Doctor, Lawyer, Indian Chief."
