Lovers of the Big Night soundtrack looking for more of Claudio Villa's charming Italian crooning might want to check this album out. Its up-tempo, easy swing leans away from the operatic tendencies of some of his other work, although many pieces are orchestrated and some come dangerously close to lounge fare. Nevertheless, Villa's voice is in great form, and despite its mediocre sound quality, Arrivaderci Roma should be a worthy buy both for Italian-speaking fans and American listeners in search of a meal's worth of irresistible mood music.
